Does John Burke owe the LeMonds a public apology?

for Trek's very shabby treatment of America's only Tour de France winner?

Yes they do. Probably due to pressure from Lance Armstrong after Greg Lemond started questioning his drug use during his Tour wins, Trek canned the Lemond bike lineup, costing Greg a lot of money. Greg had to go to court to get back the right to build bikes with his name on them again. An apology? They owe him a lot more than that

lots of people have to give the Lemond's due credit. They had it right and fought an uphill battle for their

values and ethics. It cost them a ton. something to be admired.

No, it's not Trek's fault. They supplied the bikes, gear, and endorsement. Armstrong made the comment about how he is not going to get fat when he retires, not the company.

Oh, and by the way, Trek owns Le Mond bicycles.
