why do people "DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO!"?

It churns my butter, whenever people do/say that.

I know there is a book titled as that.

I have not done anything, that I have not said. I keep my promises and stick with my ideas

It is a phenomenon. Just like Schrödinger says it cannot be known an electron's speed and location at the same time. If you want it's location, you must shoot it a photon which will change it's speed.

You cannot know what is going to happen when you do or do not do something.

For example if you quit education and try to work directly, you will probably fail. And saying another man that they should not quit their education is useless by now.

You are doing the right thing.

BTW, it keeps life flowing, it is a good phenomenon.
