is there any Drag Racing activity in NY/NJ THIS TIME ? i need as a gift?
i wonder if i can get a Racing Ride gift certificate for my bf in February. where he will be seated into a racing sports car or whatever it's called and have a fun ride with an instructor or by himself.
Anyone tried it? I just completely have no idea how it works and where in NY NJ PA are i can get a great safe deal next month as lots of tracks are open from March.

East coast tracks, much like the ones here in Ohio, probably don't open until mid-late spring due to weather conditions. If there is a gift certificate like that, I'd guess you could buy one year round but you would need to wait until the track opens for the season to use it. I don't know of any for drag racing but I do know that several NASCAR and Indy type car tracks offer driving schools and ride alongs. Watkins Glen in upstate New York and Pocono in Pennsylvania are a couple of possibilities. You could check the site for Old Bridge Township Raceway in New Jersey to see if they offer something similar for drag racing.
