My digital Camera takes black and white faint pictures (no details)?

Hi There,

Something strange happened to my Digital Camera which I bought more than 2 years ago from NY. Now it shows black objects on the screen and when I transfer photos to my PC, I still have them black. Deadly black without definition. So, if I'm taking a picture of someone, he/she will not be recognized (something black). You can not even define objects taken by this camera.

Thanks for reading this. More appreciated if you got an answer.

Cheers

Update:

It is Olympus Model#FE-230. Sorry I forgot these information at first place. Thanks

I can tell you are a very secretive person, but that doesn't help here. You need to contact the manufacture and send in the camera for repair. With out knowing you camera's name and model we can't even give you your camera's contact 800 number. Be sure and ask for an estimate as digital cameras are known for their high expense in repairs. It might even turn out that the estimate is more than the camera is worth these days. Also don't expect the place you purchased the camera to handle shipping, besides most charge double the cost of repair as part of doing business. You are better off getting a box and "peanuts" for packing and shipping the camera yourself. Check with local retail stores for small boxes they are about to toss or dumpster dive for a shipping box and packing material.

Take the ring off your finger, and check out a shot of it on the table. Flash from a digital camera is unhealthy lighting anyway for a small item, are attempting scanning the ring via a scanner. If you want whatever to keep the ring up, use a pencil or marker to slip the ring onto, and continually use white paper as a historical past, and take the picture external. Probably nearly dusk, a fairly cloudy day, or early in the morning when the sun is developing, direct sunlight is unhealthy gentle. On most cameras, you have got a "Macro" function, that's for taking full capabilities of the camera's pixels and it can be best used for small gadgets.. When you've got a tripod in your digicam use it. Then in any snapshot imaging application that you would be able to turn your picture black/white. Good luck promoting.

It could be broken, or could just have the setting whacked a bit.

Tell us the model and manufacturer of the camera, and we can likely help you try and restore the settings.
