Wondering about vitamins for tropical fish?

Hello, I have a freshwater aquarium. with rainbow fish, tetras, loaches, gourami. I have been wondering if it would be beneficial to add some kind of aquarium vitamins to the tank. I am looking for the vitamins for the fish, not plants. Or maybe I could just add spiraluna flakes to there diet.

The first product I researched was aqua flourish , for fish not for plants.

I guess my main concern is that I would have to use a lot of it in my 55 gallon tank. I was wondering if any of you use any type of vitamins in your tank and if you could recommend anything. Thanks!

better yet you can soak the food in the vitamins, live or frozen brine and worms can be soaked in it too (for carnivorous fish inject it into feeder fish)

in addition some foods are made better, a new one is:

I've used VitaChem and Selcon in saltwater and I think they have a freshwater version too.

I have never heard of or realized they had vitamins for fish. I just thought they had the stress coat and enzymes along with other conditioners. I have always fed my fish a varied diet with multiple dry and frozen foods. Thought I was doing everything right for all these years. I wonder if there is any benefit or need for that product??

I like to vary the diet and use vitamin enriched foods. I do tend to add spiralina flake to the diet and my african cichlids and tang especially love it!

Good water chemistry is very important to fish health of course. Your tap water will have trace elements like calcium and such in it too. There are trace element additives you can of course use, but they are generally for adding trace elements back into distilled water or for tanks like planted tanks that might use up a lot of trace elements.
