Questions about quaker parrots?
I am just learning about them and I would to to get one in a few years but anyway
1) do they need a 'special' quaker food?
2) what kind of seeds do they eat?
3) what kind of veggies can they eat?
4) what type of cages are best?
5) how much should the bar spacing be so they don't get stuck?
6) can they learn to talk?
7) are they really really noisy?

Answer 1)- The don't if you want to! they can eat about anything! I feed my bird any cocktail food and fruits he wants.
Answer 2)- they can eat sunflower seeds or nutritional food colored pellets. Also try to feed food that you eat.
Answer 3)- Like in Answer 1, they can eat whatever kind of veggies you want. I feed my bird canned veggies daily.
Answer 4)- Try buying big,beautiful,clean cages for your bird. Remember, If you are buying it used you should disinfect it with vinegar.
Answer 5)- At least about a foot long because they need plenty of space to sleep,eat,and play!
Answer 6)- Yes! endeed, I teached my bird to say ''yes'',''no'',''what'',and ''I want some of that''.
Answer 7)- Some people say yes and some no but whenever your bird wants something, they scream.
I hope you buy a quaker because they make great pets!!!
