Scholarships/Scholarships.com?
I have been looking around for scholarship opportunities, specifically contests that I can enter in order to win money for college. I found a website that seems to be legitimate, Scholarships.com, and was wondering if anybody had ever used that site before to find scholarships. I'm a bit hesitant about signing up at Scholarships.com since it requires a lot of information, but if it is reputable, then I'm willing to do it. Has anyone used Scholarships.com before or is there a better site out there? Thanks!

Are you still in high school? If so, continue working and studying as hard as possible to get your GPA--grade point average--as high as possible by the time you graduate. If you haven't taken the SAT or ACT tests (students find they sometimes do better on one test rather than the other) do so, beginning at least in the spring semester of your junior year.
These two factors--high school GPA and test scores--are the single biggest items colleges use to both judge you for admission and to determine if you qualify for merit scholarships.
Merit scholarships, offered by the college that you choose to attend, can be substantial, totaling up to full tuition. The types of scholarships you're asking about are nothing more than lotteries, open to students all across the U.S. (think: astronomical odds of winning), are usually for small amounts ($1k or so) and are usually good for only one year. Merit scholarships are usually good for your entire four years of college, providing you maintain a particular GPA.
Invest your time and effort into doing your homework and excelling in your high school classes, as well as studying for and completing practice tests for the SAT and/or ACT. Your reward will be much higher!
Good luck.
