With all the media attention surrounding the Lance Armstrong scandal...?

Which if any would you consider to be performance enhancing drug(s) for the game of pool and why? Which weaknesses would be counteracted and/or which strengths would be enhanced?

Update:

My girlfriend suggested that Adderall could possibly help with the focus and the energy level if taken in the proper dosage.

According to the World Anti-doping Program Beta-Blockers are banned in Billiards and Snooker, there's no specific mention of Pool but it does state WCBS after mentioning Billiards and Snooker, the WCBS does include Pool so I would assume it stands for Pool aswell, here is an excerpt from the document

"Beta-blockers include, but are not limited to, the following:

Acebutolol, alprenolol, atenolol, betaxolol, bisoprolol, bunolol, carteolol,

carvedilol, celiprolol, esmolol, labetalol, levobunolol, metipranolol,

metoprolol, nadolol, oxprenolol, pindolol, propranolol, sotalol, timolol"

There was a player banned in the 80s for the use of propranolol, he was ranked 8th in the world at the time.

Pool is not a sport that requires strength in the traditional sense as it relates to performance enhancing drugs. It can be very taxing mentally during long matches or tournaments which would require a fair amount of rest. It can be physically exhausting because you are on your feet a great deal of time (at least the winners are) and that can also add to your fatigue along with the mental drain and stress of long matches. So no, I wouldn't consider anything by way of any kind of drug that would be of benefit to a pool players game.

your girlfriend is right. adderall would give a big advantage to a pool player. it maximizes focus, concentration, and it also gives you energy to play for hours without mental fatigue.

I don't think there are any, but you could use caffeine if you are sleepy, or sedatives if you are nervous.
