Will this eggless cake recipe work?

I've looked up a lot of recipes and I finally found this one which has ingredients that I can access, but will it work?

1 cup Milk

1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar

1 1/4 cups All Purpose Flour

1 cup sugar

2 tablespoons Cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon Baking powder

1/2 teaspoon Baking soda

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1/3 cup Oil

I was hoping for a plain cake, NOT chocolate. To do this, do I just take it out or do I replace it with the same amount of flour or something?

I also don't have any apple cider vinegar, so would normal vinegar work the same or not? (If not, what could I use instead?)

You can replace the cider vinegar with regular white distilled vinegar. The vinegar is your egg replacement. You would probably have to increase the flour to 1 1/2 cups and add 2 teaspoons vanilla extract or 1 teaspoon almond extract or your cake will be sort of bland or use the recipe below which is quite similar.

    Eggless Yellow Cake

    1 1/2 c. flour

1 c. sugar (the blogger used Turbinado, I used regular granulated white sugar)

    1 t. baking soda

    1/2 t. salt

    1/2 c. oil

    1 c. milk

    2 t. vanilla

    1 T. vinegar

Mix together all the dry ingredients first. Then mix the wet ingredients in a separate bowl and add all the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined. You can use a hand mixer on low or use a woodent spoon or spatuala. Pour into a greased 8x8 pan. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. For instructional pictures, see "Sources" below.
