Is a US manufacturer required by any law to continue making parts for a discontinued model?

Is there any US or state law that requires a product manufacturer to continue making parts for a particular model after he has stopped production of that model? If so how long. I do not want an opinion or your say so, if you can answer this I want a direct reference to a law or precedent that requires it. When I worked as an automotive technician I was told this was so and the parts would be produced for 10 years but I am looking for a part that was last used on a truck produced in 2005 and they have already discontinued that part.

No, why would they have to do that?

    No.

I can't point you to the actual law that says it because no such law exists on the matter. Since there is no law that requires them to do so there doesn't need to be a law that says they can stop production.
