The first time you fell in love?

The first time I remember falling in love :)

These are some happy memories for me. I was maybe 13 years old and I was a very unpopular girl. I was very awkward and shy. A boy named Nikk I had met through youth group at a church I started attending, would always ask me my name and as many times I would tell him he always asked me "And who are you?" Being the type of girl i was I didn't realize he was flirting and this frustrated me so much! I remember one very cold rainy day in October, he walked up to me and after months of this constant refusal to identify me by who I was, he said " I know exactly who you are." and he then kissed me. My first kiss. I knew right then that I loved him. My heart was racing and my head was foggy and I couldn't gain my balance. I just laughed at him when he did it. He was the love of my life, and for years after this boy became a man, and this man loved me more then anything in the world. When i think of him I think of the song Memories from Cats, and as sad as that song is, it really did define our love. Or Katy Perry The One That Got Away.

When I was 18 I came home from school a few weeks before graduation, excited because I had gotten my cap and gown and wanted to try it on. My dad was waiting for me when I waled in the door. I knew something was wrong when I looked at him. He sat me down and told he that Nikk had an accident, he had a brain aneurysm that ruptured and he died.

Not a happy ending but the love we shared was amazing and it taught me that there are good men out there. The woman he helped me grow into is no longer that 13 year old girl. I am a confident woman now. I thank him for that everyday
