Why do bananas ripen with green spots lately? It looks like an insect infestation.?

    That's a new one on me, I would peel one and examine the inside of the skin and flesh and if it looks ok I would still taste it and eat.

    If there was a problem I would ring the store to see if they have had other complaints and think about returning for replacement
