What is the best OTC waxing product available?

I've tried a few but they don't seem to do much except cause pain and very little hair removal.

Update:

@ sur le mar,

That upper lip thing sounds awful. I got a groupon for electrolysis but can't use it b/c I have to have a 'special' kind b/c I have naturally strawberry blond hair/pale skin...unfortunately it comes with A LOT of excess hair growth & sensitivity to lotions. So for now I have to stick to waxing. :-(

Update 2:

@ myfavouritelucy,

haha. I just meant 'over the counter' but I have just heard it in reference to painkillers like aspirin. Is that what you meant?

The one I've used was from Australia, it was a cold wax. I no longer uses them, it's easier & faster to use 12 pkg. razor in the pink handle, and SKINTIMATE. Keeps my skin silky, soft, smooth for days!

FYI: Waxing warrants caution: home waxing kits come in both cold and hot wax varieties – cold kits may not work as well but are certainly safer to use in the genital region. If you’re going to a salon, choose a professional location that makes safety a priority. Example from YA!: so i waxed my upper lip and it left a huge red mark all on top of my upper lip. the next day wrinkly skin formed over it and it started to peel so i peeled it off and now its extremely red and shiny what can i put on it so it wont scar and how long will it take to heal?

No one looks forward to their hair removal routine, regardless of what it is. Each option comes attached to its unique drawbacks. Shaving is terribly time-consuming and has to be repeated daily in order to achieve best results. Waxing is painful while hair removal creams can be smelly and irritating to the skin. Electrolysis is effective and near-permanent… but it's also expensive to the point of being outside of the average person's budget. There is NOTHING PERMANENT, not even laser. Once you stopped? They will grow back like before, it's permanent FOR YOU, because you have to keep at it. . . . for EVER & EVER.

OTC???? this is wax, not a drug... all waxes are basically the same thing.. something sticky that adheres to hair and cloth that you rip off... end of.... if you are not removing hair, you aren;t doing it right
