Determine the Half-life of a 100 g sample of isotope I-54 that decomposed to 25 g over an 8 day period?

I couldn't figure this out on my chemistry homework, could you help me? I'll pick best answer.

    100 g to 50 g is one half-life.

    50g to 25g is another half-life.

    So there are 2 half-lives in 8 days, or 1 half-life every 4 days.

    If i'm no longer incorrect, it may take 16 years for this isotope to chop back to a million/4 its unique mass. interior the first 8 years, the substance will decrease to 50g, and interior the 2d 8 years, the isotope will decrease to 25g. i am hoping this facilitates.
