Is your dongle a wifi model? If not it does not work with the printer. Also your laptop should have wifi and be able to connect to the printer without the usb modem.

t-mobile dongles are NOT wifi, they are cellular. So is every other similar dongle. You need to use your wifi card and set it up to create an ad hoc network. Once you have done that you need to set the printer to connect to that network. But to do that you need to run the installation disk.

Ofcourse you could - a wee bit slower connection properly adequate - have you ever all in no way heard of utilising your cellular telephone ? My Motoral V3 Raz R connects my pc .even as no longer in a hotspot..(( Or in case you dont want to plug your pc into your phoneline at residing house !!!!!) through Vodafone .. I used to apply a Vodafone wireless card - you purely inserted the SIM card out of your cellular telephone into the cardboard and tarrrrahhh! no account with vodafone mandatory both.. reliable success..
