Gum swelling because of wisdom tooth above it?

my gum on the bottom at the back of my mouth has swollen and bleeds when i eat, i dont have a wisdom tooth coming through, but i do have a wisdom tooth at the top back above my gum and it grew perfectly straight but because i have no tooth below it i keep biting my gum causing it to swell and i have intense pain from it what do i do to get the swelling to go down and also its swelled that much i cant close my mouth :( help !!!

    you need to go to the emergency dentist. it's not the wisdom tooth but you will need some treatment. you have a tooth infection. you may have to get a root canal if it's not something else. it's caused by not getting your cavities fixed.
