Are rate me questions allowed?

No. Virtually every rating type of question is considered not knowedge-worthy. For proof, besides the Y!A Help page about chat in the source below, one need only notice that of all the many questions of this type that get deleted, you'll never notice any of them getting reinstated. Because they never win their appeals.

Rate me, Am i pretty, etc. question are NOT included in their list of examples of chatting. This article was last updated on July 13, 2012 so maybe the rules were changed since many people like to ask these types of questions. i sent an Email to yahoo to verify if Rate me type questions are now allowed. If this question is still open i'll post the response when i get it.

Under the chat rules is this example of a violation:

•Do you like my (avatar, web site, poem, etc.)?*

From that you can not ask "Do you like my picture?" ie rate my looks.

All rate mes will eventually be removed, there are just so many and the staff refuse to set up a filter to help.

No they're not,those questions are chat & solicitation as they ask for other people

to click on the links to the pictures.

Rate me questions are of self interest and don't seek help & knowledge,so those

questions aren't useful to yahoo answers.
