Is this University academic appeal letter good enough?

Below is my appeal letter for my consideration for re-admittance back to the university, please feel free to edit my letter as this is my first time writing this letter and the first time study in the university, do you think it is good enough for them to reconsider the decision? Thanks.

Dear Parma

My name is James ***** and I have received an email of notification in Arion regarding my academic progress. The email state that I am in breach of "Part 3 Section 11: Academic Progress, of the General Academic Regulations 2012". I am writing in hopes that the University will reconsider my continuance in BCIS.

Over the course of 2012 I have been through many situations such as financial trouble, family crisis and some depression periods cope with levels of immaturity However I can now see that I am wrong and nobody was responsible for my action. I can see that by running from problems is not the solution, I must face the problem myself and try and find the solution to that problem.

I also believe it was because of I was not fully prepared for my first university experience. I was not able to keep up with my work properly. I know I did not try to the best of my potential and I did not seek helps despite of knowing that I was struggling. Now, after experience these situations, I have direction and have finally identified my problems, and I feel I have what it take to become a better person and a better student, being suspense has taught me a very important lesson in which I must not take lightly.

My plans for improving my grades will be to set a structured of time on a daily basis to be used for studying and doing assignments. Should I find myself struggling, I will make arrangements to seek extra assistant to help me understand the work better. Another step will be to enrol into one of Library's workshops and tutorials for support study and to help me gain a greater understanding of how and what to study. I am determined to focus more on my academic career and would greatly appreciate another opportunity to readmitted to become a much better student for the future of my career.
