Can dogs get the flu?

My dog threw up all morning and part of the afternoon and is now just somber. Could she have gotten a touch of the flu that is going around? Thank you. I have not fed her today because she drinks water and throws it right up.

Yes but not the kinds that people get. If your dog isn't normal tomorrow she needs to be seen by a vet. Vomiting water can be quite serious. It can cause severe dehydration and electrolyte imbalances.

Yes, dogs do get the flu, but not like humans do.
