I Need to lose weight?
Fastest way to lose 50 pounds. I've put on 50 pounds this past year. And I'm dying to lose it. Since I'm already tall for a girl (5'6) weighing 190 makes me just look huge. I so much rather weigh 140 like I did this time last year. Please help? Will starving myself or not eating make me lose weight quick

Starving yourself is bad for you. Since most girls don't care and do it anyway, let me tell you that if you starve yourself, you are more likely to lose skin elasticity resulting in saggy skin because you lost weight too fast. Secondly, if you starve yourself, lose the weight and then gain it back at any point, you risk giving yourself stretch marks or even cellulite because your skin isn't adjusting fast enough.
Don't starve yourself. Yes you will lose weight fast but body tone could end up looking terrible.
Best thing to do is eat very little for 3 days. I do this because it helps me to cut back. After 3 days of eating very little, I begin to eat the amount of calories I need to reduce weight based on my stats.
And I also work out. This is what will help you to lose eight. You're young so it won't take you long to shed 50 lbs.

okay, to get into shape , speed up your metabolism, rid yourself of excess fat and lose weight ,,,,,do as follows:
Stop drinking & smoking (if you do this regularly)
eat fruits & vegetables all you can (buy a slow cooker /food steamer & rice/pasta cooker to make it easy on you)...(vegetables might not seem "tasty", like junk foods,, but can be as you aquire your taste to them..and are loaded with energy and nutrients)...avoid all junk food, cokes, sweets, etc...and drink mainly water (green tea , juice & milk being the other options you drink). If you eat meat ,,use only steamed, baking or grilled methods for preparing fish or chicken.
also, do an hour of walking each day at least. or some type of excercise.
* you should lose about 10 lbs per month

When you fast, your body slows down your metabolism in order to conserve energy and survive the perceived famine.When you do go back to eating, your body wants to store up for the next starvation period, meaning that you are likely to gain weight even if you consume fewer calories.
Cutting calories can help you shed pounds, not eating altogether or fasting for weight loss is an extremely dangerous technique. Not only can it do damage to your body, but it can lead to serious problems, such as eating disorders. If you truly want to lose weight, eating a healthy diet and exercising daily is a better idea than starving yourself to become thinner.
Instead of skipping meals and depriving your body, eat foods that are low in calories, yet rich in nutrients, such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains. These will help your body function while providing the calories your body needs.
A healthy diet helps you to lose your weight and stay healthy but one of the biggest challenges to eating healthier is finding substitutions for existing foods in your diet. Here are some tips to make the transition easier:
1.Use mustard instead of mayo on your sandwiches. You’ll get lots of flavor with much fewer calories and fat.
2.Select whole wheat bread over white bread. Be sure to read the label to ensure you’re getting whole grains, not just colored white bread.
3.Eat the white meat like chicken, which is lower in fat than dark meat, red meat. Animal fat is the number one dietary source of unhealthy saturated fat.
4. Start using fish instead of high-fat cuts of meat.
5.If you cook, then change your cooking methods. Bake, grill or boil your meals instead of frying. Use non-stick sprays—or better yet, non-stick pans—instead of oil.
6.Drink more water. Slowly reduce the amount of soda you drink and replace it with herbal tea like green tea or water. Aim for eight cups of pure water each day.
7.Don't drink your calories. Eat a whole orange instead of drinking a glass of juice, for example. Real food is usually more filling and more nutritious than juices, fruit drinks, and other high-calorie beverages.
8.Gradually switch to skim milk. Milk commonly comes in four varieties: whole (4% fat), 2%, 1% and skim (0% fat). Gradually wean yourself from the higher-fat varieties to the lower fat milk every two weeks. For example: continue drinking your normal 2% milk for two weeks, then move to 1% for two weeks, and then your palate will be ready for the consistency of skim milk.
9.Switch from full-fat cheeses to reduced-fat or fat-free cheeses the same way you would with milk (see tip above).
10.Order vegetables on the side instead of fries. Flavor them with lemon juice or herbs instead of butter.
11.Snack on fruit and nuts instead of sugary treats. The fiber, protein and healthy fats in this combo will sustain you to your next meal and you won’t have the energy slump that comes after eating candy.
12.Reduce your portion size. Most people will eat whatever amount of food is in front of them, so start putting your meals on smaller plates. You will be just as satisfied because your mind "sees" that you’re eating a full plate of food.
Start following this routine along with healthy diet:
1.First calculate and then limit your calorie intake commensurate with your BMI. Don't stop eating food, all what you need to do is to just cut down your meals into six and eat healthy food.
2.Cut down your oil & fats intake.
3.Cut down refined sugar intake.
4.Avoid soda's like soft drinks.
5.Go for a brisk walk everyday for atleast one hour/ Yoga/ Jumping rope/ Aerobics.
6.Drink hot water before your meals also take it in the morning with added honey & lemon juice, it may dissolve your fats inside.
7.Drink Green tea , as it is good for health and may help you to lose your weight also.
8.Avoid junk.
9.Most of all, proper sleep of 6-8 hours is must.
