He is a constitutional expert: Court- Obama's Bypass of Congress To Fill Labor Jobs Unconstitutional?
I thought he taught constitutional law, and was this brilliant legal mind. How did he so fail to understand the constitutional requirements for recess appointments? And does this give us some insight into how he views his powers?

Little Princess absolutely nailed it, the issue was not the fact of a recess appointment, it was that the Senate was NOT in recess when these appointments were made. I am well aware that past presidents of both parties made such appointments, but always during a Senate Recess.
And yes, I do understand the difference between an appeals court and the Supreme Court. My guess is that the appeals court ruling will stand, based on the facts.
Stopping some of Obowma's schemes is not necessarily hurting the country.

It would be an incorrect assumption to think that Obama thought his appointment was constitutional. He just thought he could get away with it.
And for those who think other presidents have done the same thing, they are wrong. Attempting to make a recess appointment while congress was not in recess has never been done before (until Obama tried it).

how do you think john bolton got to be the guy at the un? same way. of course this wouldnt be necessary if the the gop werent anarchists. six years and no head to the atf. stopping appointments by obama is another way they have obstructed obama and hurt the usa.
