If you put metal in a microwave, the microwave blows up, but since microwaves are made of metal why don't they explode?

into the kitchen which then bounced off a metal pan and then the tray struck the support beam with such force that it snapped in half! Then the entire roof collapsed! I'm gonna be in so much trouble!
