As you all know there is no air in space the astronauts carries a kind of backpack which is of cylindrical shape. It have oxygen in it. And that oxygen cylinder is attach from a pipe to the helmet. So that's why the spacemen could breathe

For most of the flight the crew rode inside spacecraft that provided their atmospheres for them. When they left the spacecraft, they wore pressure suits with backpacks that provided breathing oxygen, carbon dioxide removal, and cooling. You failed to notice that any time they were walking on the moon they wore these heavy white suits with helmets? Did you think they tried to do this dressed in farmer's overalls and baseball caps?
