Why don't microwaves explode?

If you put metal in a microwave, the microwave blows up, but since microwaves are made of metal why don't they explode?

    Because the microwaves are directly hitting the metal. According to the photoelectric effect from Einstein, enough energy from an electromagnetic wave will eject the electrons. All the electrons are being ejected.

    the chamber (area you cook in ) is insulated (painted/coated) it has no bare metal

    the microwaves react with bare metal
