First you have to have a Printer installed on your computer, connected and turned on.

Print Screen DOES NOT print. All it does in copy the screen to Clip Board.

    Here is what you do>

Have on the screen what you want to capture.

Press the Print Screen Button on the keyboard.

    Open the PAINT program.

Click on the PASTE button or CTRL + V

Then you can print from Paint.

Are trying retaining just Alt after which pressing it. Im making use of a computing device, so I simply maintain CTRL and it works. You've gotten three options. One, hold Alt and press the button. Two, hold Ctrl and press the button. Or three, and that i don't know if that is on a Compaq notebook, but there perhaps an "F" button. Its like a 2nd button that does other matters apart from what the major key will have to do.

Cntrl+p is the print command. The print screen button will save an image of the screen, then you go to Paint and paste it.
