sinθ > 0 and tanθ < 0.....so θ is in quadrant 2 => cosθ < 0
cos²θ = 1 - sin²θ
=> cos²θ = 1 - (1/4)² = 15/16
i.e. cosθ = -√15/4
cotθ = cosθ/sinθ = (-√15/4)/(1/4) = -√15
