Can someone please check the following phrase for grammatical errors?
I'm talking to someone who.. Well, someone who I think is amazing. It's very late, and I want to make sure i've grammatically wrote the following phrase. She asked me how she looked the night we met. I said "Hm, well you looked. . hmm" She said "I'll let you think." Now I want to say: "Yet how can I, when all words slip from my minds grasp; When in your eyes, I cease to think of anything but us, how we met, why we met, when we'd say goodbye, why we would say goodbye. How comical it is that I find such a calm in those eyes, they the portals to one's soul, to one's heart." Is there anything in here that I have punctuated wrong? I appreciate the help.

Please learn what grammarians call a phrase, a clause, a sentence, and a paragraph. You also need to learn more about tenses as well as conditionals. Don't give up!
