How was the Northridge LA earthquake in 1985 caused? What type of plate boundary/margin was it?

Was it a Destructive, Constructive, Convergent,or Conservative plate boundary? were the plates moving together? away from each other? or past each other?

im writing an essay on this earthquake and i cant find what type of plate boundary it is, different sites keep saying different things!

thanks

    1. It was a slip-thrust quake occurring along a "blind thrust" fault, meaning that the fault was buried... did not extend to the surface.

    2. It will be a much better essay if you get the date correct... it occurred on 17 January 1994. NOT 1985.

Did you rank nfl lockout above unrest in core east, supermoon, earthquake in japan, dead animals at the of the 12 months, flying saucers over jerusalem? What a fail. Additionally, your superstition is hilarious. Alien craft's over Jerusalem. And given that there are so few animals, certainly if any of them dies in the commencing of the 12 months, it can be the apocalypse.
