Suggest websites where one can sell paintings online?

Marketing your art is sometimes difficult, and I don't mean to be discouraging. I agree with the other person who suggested Etsy , also there is a website called Craftsy. I just posted 4 of my projects on there. I paint on glass and other non-porous surfaces, as well as canvas, and I have sold some of my hand-painted glasses on Ebay. You can sell your paintings on Kijiji for FREE. Kijiji adds are all free. There is a lot of competition on Etsy, and Ebay. Sometimes it is difficult for people to find your projects, unless you pay extra for "highlighting" the items you wish to sell...at least I know that's true for Ebay. The photograph of your artwork is of the utmost importance if you want to sell your paintings. Or you can create your own website if you have the money, or you might be able to do it yourself. I think you would have to pay for a domain name, but I'm not sure. Check out Yola for that. You can also hold an artshow in your own home if possible...and invite friends and they'll bring their friends...I knew a lady who did that a couple of times a year, and she sold a lot of stuff...she would serve wine, and those little sandwiches with the crusts cut off. Unfortunately we all don't have the financial resources for that. Good Luck!
