Just in general, what do computer programmers do? How many years of college does it require? How does the whole thing work? Is it just for a certain company? Does it require a lot of math? How much do they make per year in California? I just want to know as much as possible about it. Thanks :)

A computer programmer is someone who sits with his lazy *** on a chair eating donuts and drinking coffee. No kidding, it requires a mathematical skill of course. It takes 3,4,5,6 years of college depending on what kind of software they make. If it is AI - related, heavy stuff, then you need 6 years of college and even more. If it is more practical like database administration you can have enough with 3 years of college. The more challenging, the more one needs to know, so it requires a lot of scientific luggage if you are involved in artificial intelligence projects and they only need the best so very few people on this planet are really involved in that.
