Seller at a used item store asks for counteroffer?
If a used merchandise store offers someone X amount for something and the seller doesn't accept their offer and asks for a counter offer is it legal to make a counter offer in the store?

There is nothing illegal about negotiating the price of an item that is for sale. Doesn't matter if you are the seller or the buyer. Doesn't matter where the item is or why it's being offered fro sale. Negotiating a fair selling price is all part of doing business.
