Do you think it is appropriate for Djokovic to say to Murray 'bad luck tonight'?

Australian Open 2013 when delivering his speech. during Trophy ceremony.

Hmm, I agree with Emily. I heard the speech and thought it was nice, although a little scripted for my taste.

If anything, it's a compliment. When you say that, it usually means that the match was equal and it could've gone either way.

That was likely one of the weirdest posts I've seen in a while. You started out okay and then it just escalated in a bizarre way. First of all, I haven't heard anything of blisters, as it is very rare among pros. Even so, it would've been Murray's job to tape up the blisters. And you say he is the better player, ignoring the overall record Djokovic has had against Murray for years now.

But again, that was a weird post, you might've been joking...

Why not!! And don't forget, English isn't Djokovic's first language so much as I don't like 'bad luck' - 'hard luck' or even 'tough luck' would have been more appropriate, I'd not query him saying that!!! I don't like the guy but thought what he said was okay. And less condescending than Federer's comments after his defeat vs. Murray - that was he played 'slightly better'. Yeah right - you was thrashed (even if it did take 5 sets lol)

I don't think he was suggesting that luck had anything to do with it.

I can see where you're coming from. When I first heard him say that, I thought it sounded a little mean. But I also think that it was fine for him to say that. I suppose he just meant that it was a tough match and that unfortunately things didn't go Murray's way. Those two are actually good mates, so I wouldn't worry about it :)
