why do they REWARD ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS for breaking the law but PUNISH US CITIZENS for breaking the law?

because our government hates us.

Not to mention the fact that there are millions who would love to immigrate to the US, but who chose not to immigrate, because there was no way to do it legally. They're being shown that if you immigrate illegally, you get rewarded. I personally know someone who came to the US on a non-immigrant visa, employed 60 people in a business, and who ultimately applied for a green card, and he was told "NO", because even though he invested the required amount (1 million dollars) in his business, he didn't bring that $1 million into the country. He came with $250,000, and using his expertise, turned it into a business worth more than $1 million, and employing over 50 people. That's the kind of person you want, and he couldn't get a Green Card.

But, if he'd just come illegally, he be allowed to get a Green Card?

For people who say that it would be impractical and too costly to deport the illegals who are here now, what is the government doing to prevent another batch of 11 million illegal immigrants who are here 20 years from now, especially when they see that if they wait long enough, the government will just throw up its hands and tell them it's OK for them to stay?

WE ALL are "illegal immigrants to the Americas" where id your family come from?

NObody has been rewarded for illegal immigration. the children were not at fault fro what their parents did.

citizens are free to take 12 hour a day backbreaking labor in chemical poisoned fields if they want to, some "reward!"

We DO need to control immigration . we have tens of millions of undocumented people working here

In the appears of matters, we don't seem to be going to deport immigrants with the current political process. Both parties love immigrants. By the way, is not California one of the crucial diverse states in the usa?
