Good librettos or appropriate libretto size for a 20 minute opera?

Hi,

I am fairly experienced writing for voice but not opera.

I'm looking for a libretto that I can set for an opera lasting under 20 minutes. If no-one can think of any, what kind of size should a libretto to last 20 minutes be?

Update:

Suhwahaksaeng: Thanks for your answer. A skit could indeed be appropriate; would you be able to recommend any collections of skits that I could use freely (I doubt this opera will make money so I will simply get laughed at if I try to procure something in copyright where the librettist intends to profit)?

On the average, sung text takes approximately three times as long as the equivalent spoken text.

So you would need a play which lasts about 7 minutes.

Would a skit do for you?

There are some good collections of skits on the Web.

Take a look at Mozart's Impresario which runs about 30 minutes including the overture.
