Help please! Thinking of hacking my Motorola DROID RAZR?
I'm thinking of hacking my Motorola DROID RAZR. If I do, what are the cons and pros? And what are the steps to hack it without bricking my phone? Thanks for your effort in advance! :)

First of all, you're not "hacking" it. You can ROOT the device, which will give you full access to the system and hardware.
Advantages: you can install a customized version of Android built for your device. You can install apps from the market (mostly utilities) that only work on rooted phones. You can make tweaks to the system configuration that allow you to customize specific settings or turn certain features on or off.
Cons: the phone is now rooted, which means you have full control of the device, which then means you can screw it up if you don't know what you're doing or if you're careless. A certain level of technical expertise or comfort is really a requirement if you're going to do it. You also won't get anymore over-the-air system updates from your carrier or the manufacturer, which shouldn't matter, because you can usually flash newer version of Android without their help anyway.
Go here, search for your device and read EVERYTHING before you do anything:
