Why is DVD drive buzzing loudly?
Today, I put a disk into the dvd drive of my desktop computer to rip it using DVDShrink, and when it was analyzing and backing up, the dvd drive was buzzing loudly. I assume that this is because of the dvd spinning really fast, because when I touch the place where i insert dvds (I have a slim laptop type dvd drive) its vibrating, apparently because of the dvd spinning. What can I do to resolve this? This has never happened before, and its not the initial "startup buzz". Is it because the platform thing for the dvd if loose? I've had this computer for about 1 or 1 and a half years.

mine does this sometimes... in the laptop i found out it was because i was trying to watch dvd's from the library and they put some kind of thing on them that makes bumps on the dvd but i can watch them on a regular dvd player.
also i recently used a DVD cleaner in my regular DVD player and it helped
you might try it they sell them at walmart and best buy it is not expensive
