Why does this damn HP Quick Web keep launching on my laptop.?
I have a Compaq computer (model: Presario CQ57 Notebook PC) with a HP tool disk. The HP service is fine but it constantly ask me to do this and do that. It keeps asking me to launch HP Quick Web, a very wack OS. And when ignore the request, it launches it anyway in a few hours. I wanna know how to launch it whenever I want (never) rather than having HP asking me the whole damn time.
@nevar: It doesn't happen every on every start up and it's not really a program, it's just one of HP's lousy schedules. It's even unnecessary. Why would I like to launch an OS which I haven't even downloaded.

Click Start-> Run and type msconfig ; find the HP Quick Web service under the Startup tab and uncheck the box. Click apply and restart your computer when prompted. This should disable the service from running on start up.
If you are using Windows 7 or newer you need only type msconfig into the search bar in the Start menu to open the diagnostic tool.
