Does showing someone your receipt run the risk of revealing personal information?
I have a case open with an eBay seller, and, long story short, I asked to see their receipt. They declined and said it had personal information on it.
Now, I've made hundreds of purchases over the course of my lifetime, and I don't remember ever having a receipt that revealed more than my name and only the last digits of my card, and the location of the store.
Is this guy bs-ing me, or am I overlooking something?

Some people do not want a stranger from the internet to see any personal info. Even that small amount.
Tell him to make a copy of the receipt, then black out the personal information with a Sharpie marker on the copy. If he still says no then he is up to something.
