Is this endometriosis? My mom likes to scare me?

My mom takes everything too far. I got a rash once and she said it was worms. When I had a small hairline fracture in my shin (so small an X-ray couldn't even pick up), she freaked out.

I have these itchy rashes on my legs that Won't go away. They're really dry and some are the size of a penny, others are the size of a quarter. I've had them for 4 months now. They don't get better or worse. My mom says I could have endometriosis, because she has it. But doesn't that have to do with your periods? I have regular periods. I rarely get cramps...and they're never painful. Is she just trying to scare me?? I'm 16

endometriosis is an overgrowth of uterine tissue, it is nothing to do with having a rash.

Well, you could theoretically have endometriosis. Endometriosis is when the lining of your uterus grows in places that it shouldn't be growing. But even in the worst-case scenario your endometrium doesn't grow all the way down to your legs, and rashes aren't a symptom of it anyway. You sound like you might have eczema or something, or just normal winter severely dry skin.

Go see a doctor... your average family doc is totally capable of diagnosing and treating most minor rashes.

Yes endo is to do with periods. It is were tissue grows outside the womb instead of inside the womb (when your lining grows: a period) you can endometriosis in other parts of the body but on the inside. The rash could just be something simple like eczema or psoriasis. Take a trip to GP its probably just needs a cream and it'll go.

Endometriosis does have to do with periods and you don't have that, that's for sure.

Try using Neosporin on your rashes on your legs. It is an antibiotic and will heal up the rashes.

Endometriosis is a very painful and serious condition of which is there is no permanent cure and no joking matter I know this as I'm a sufferer of it I think your mum is being quite nasty telling you these things and worrying you it's cruel you DO NOT HAVE endometriosis you would certainly know if you had I suggest that you ignore her
