I have a Maxkon Ice maker but can't get it to work, anyone know how to get it working?

The instructions are a bit vague, there is no water indication light but i have followed them to the best of my ability yet the deficient light comes on, the ice shovel moves but there is no ice being made, or formed on the little metal prongs (teeth), it doesn't seem to be getting cold. i've drained the water twice so i don't see how it could be an air block but that is how it is behaving, the water is not pumping from the reservoir to the ice making part. anyone got one that works or had this problem and knows what's going on? any sensible input would be much appreciated thanks.
