Is my belly button infected?
I got it over a month ago. It sometimes oozes a white-green goo and has a sort of red bubble next to the top part. It doesn't hurt and isn't hot so I don't know if its infected or not. Ill admit, I haven't had time to clean it 2 times a day but I at least do it once. When I do clean it once I day it's for double the time as normal (about 10 minutes vs 5)
If it is infected, how can I cure it without taking out the ring it's self?

The discharge is lymph which is completely normal. If it was infected you'd have darker yellow/green pus coming out and you never want to take an infected piercing out.
There is no telling what that red bubble is without seeing it. You should definitely go have your piercer look at it so you can start treating it.
Make sure you're doing sea salt soaks twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak to keep it clean.

DO NOT TAKE IT OUT. because if it is infected and you do take it out then it could close around the infection and you wont know about it till you have a 105 fever and intense abdominal pains. It sounds like it is just healing, though the puss ball concerns me. it could just be "colonised" meaning bacteria is near the entry of the wound and it is reacting but the bacteria has yet to enter and infect the wound completely. it shouldnt matter how long you clean in for. the whole point of cleaning it two times a day is to consistantly remove the bacteria from the area. so wash it twice a day and soak it in sailene water in a shot glass for 15 min. if you must do that before bed. CLEAN IT more often. that i the only thing i can think for you to do to prevent further irritation

Mine never had a red bump but it did start oozing, that's normal in the healing process.
Salt water is the best cleaning you can do, put some in a cup and flip the cup over your belly button and let it sit there... Do it frequently since you havn't really cleaned it much. It needs to be cleaned, it may just be irritated. And make sure the belly ring you have in is something light, and not heavy. Wait for the gawky ones a couple more months. When i got mine done they told me to wait 6 months to change mine, so that should give you an idea.
Hope this helps.

mine had that! It was so gross and it smelled gross! however, it did not hurt! DO NOT TAKE THE PIERCING OUT! I REPEAT! DO NOT TAKE IT OUT! I took it out for 1 hour and it was already started to close! Buy salt water and clean the area with it! its going to take about a month to go away but its worth it! You wont go through the pain of having it pierced again. Be patient with it and make sure to also clean around it with a qtip everyday (with rubbing alcohol)
