What's NYC like? ..?

I'm from England and one day I wanna move to New York, it looks amazing, but I'd rather hear from someone who's been there or lives there, what's it like?:D

New York is a great, big city with lots to see and do... And there really is no other place like it. It's a tourist's paradise but living in it can be hard. Apartments in Manhattan are some of the most expensive in the nation and the city has it's fair share of crime, though it's been in decline in recent years. It's the most diverse city in the world with all kinds of different cultures mixing together to create a big, colorful playground. Great food, shopping (also very expensive). There's a reason it's called the greatest city in the world.

Very very very expensive, but also very very very fun. NYC is a great place to live, but it is expensive. Some areas are more affordable than others, and there are some "hidden gems", however.

Just like any other city, you get up, go to your job, and you come home, eat, and go to bed. But I love NYC because it is an "unusual" city. I can get a good laugh going to work. For example, it is not unusual to see a male drag queen all dressed in pink with purple hair in underwear on the subway at 7 in the morning, or a woman dropping her toenail and picking her tooth with it on the subway (I have seen both). That's what makes New York.

It is also really busy. People are CONSTANTLY moving. Wether it is at rush hour, or 4 AM on a Sunday night. It is always pretty busy.

My opinion? I have lived here all 25 years of my life, and I can't say I would want to live anywhere else. :)

    Hoped this helped!!! (:
