My Parents Think that my computer is messing up our network?
Hey guys I have a bit of a problem.
I would say that I am pretty smart when it comes to computers,so I am pretty sure that their claim is physically impossible.
But they think that when ever my computer is connected to the internet that the internet does not work for them. But it works perfectly fine on my phone, and I have no problems when they are connected so I am led to believe that it is their computer.
So could some one with experience in IT answer me please?

Hello there,
It is possible that one device on a network can kind of screw it all up. This can be because it uses up all the bandwidth on the Internet; often, if you stream a lot of videos or use it for online gaming, it can cause connection problems for other devices, especially if your Internet is not very strong in the first place. This being said, it seems to be possible that there's a problem with their computers. They should get the wireless adapters on their computers checked out to see if there's any problem with that.
Good luck!

It's no longer a topic whether it is "Allowed" but will it assist you to. If you computer has a wireless network card and you're within radio reach of a wi-fi entry point or router that is hooked up to the internet then that you would be able to access the web. If the wireless community that's in inside variety is paid for via your neighbor and is unsecured then there's nothing to stop you from without problems connecting to it. If they have got their community protected with an encrypted webkey then you definitely wont be ready to access the network with out its password or webkey. The right way to do it? Double click on the little laptop icon that looks find it irresistible is radiating some waves out the right part of it. A window will pop up called "wireless community connection repute" on the cut back right there click on view wireless networks. Click that and if there is a network listed that's described as unsecured simply click on connect. In case you are inside range you will have to be able to get proper onto the online. I dont believe using your neighbors wi-fi internet is unlawful but it surely sure could be impolite. Mine is secured my neighbors is not but i do not connect with theirs despite the fact that i would.

The only way that would happen is if you are both trying to use the same IP address for some reason, or you are doing something that takes up all the bandwidth.
