Can I get into Stony Brook University?
I'm a sophmore in high school but I'm worrying about college. I really want to get into Stony Brook but I'm not sure I'll get accepted because I've heard its really competitive. I got a 4.23 out of a 4.40 scale this quarter. I take one ap class but next year i will be taking two. I'm in two clubs at my school. Do I have a chance of getting in?

It is very competitive (I live nearby it). Based on grades alone - yes, you stand a very good chance. If you're in music or sports, that helps make you look good (besides the clubs). Any awards you've received as well.
And just an FYI - even some of the smartest people I know wound up transferring out of SBU (at least for the Engineering and Science/Medicine classes).

Stony Brook and Binghamton are the two ultimate state universities in long island.
