Do carbs cause eating disorders?

I see lots of young females in this forum with eating disorders. Invariably, when they DO eat they only eat carbs.

It's ALWAYS "All I ate yesterday was a half bowl of Special K and 3 baby carrots and a half a grape".

It's NEVER "All I ate yesterday was a half a prime rib and 2 ounces of cheddar smeared with butter..."

Is it possible that eating carbs instead of fat and protein causes the eating disorder somehow?

I think so, a high-carb diet can lead to eating disorders for a lot of people.

The reason could be that eating too many carbs makes you hungry all the time, so you eat more. On top of that, you have to consider that insulin comes into play so you generate more fat. A terrible problem for young insecure females because it perpetuates the cycle. Poor things torture themselves to no avail.

However, since a low-carb diet must be by necessity a high-fat diet, I find many females have trouble accepting that since consuming vast amounts of fat is considered taboo by them, perhaps because of pervasive popular believes like fat is harmful and makes you fat, an ignorance of scientific facts and an excessive trust in brands and marketing products.

No eating disorders are causes by insecurities and necessity to control something, fit in, or be pretty. A lot of anemics eat carbs because they think if they eat something that'll fill them up then they're fine.

I think it's because they do that to themselves. If this were about men, you would see the second option. Women find the need to starve themselves and feel like if they starve themselves while still eating healthy, it will work much better. There's no correlation between carbohydrate intake and eating disorders.
