Does anyone know any speech training excersizes that would help?

I am a slow, monotonous speaker, so I've been told, and I was a little curious if there were any places to learn to speak faster and keep the audience focused. So, all in all, I would like to speak faster. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks =D

I used to not be able to pronounce my words so I had speech therapy and afterwards my voice was very dull so I was told to get acting lessons or just go to drama clubs and speak like you're acting and eventually your voice becomes interesting and dramatic, It really helped for me. If you're too shy to do that you can always do another thing I had to do (for homework) watch a short scene of actors perhaps performing Macbeth or anything which interests you even a movie (the actors voices must be dramatic though) and then just repeat them and try to copy their tone then when you get it get a magazine or book and read a couple lines from it in that tone and the same as before over time your voice will change and become interesting. When I started I was scared my voice would become very theatrical but it didn't it just became my accent not dramatic but not flat or dull. It's also pretty funny to do with friends (copying accents). I also had to make sure my body language was right when I was speaking. Hope this helped.
