Are there legal steps to insure who takes care of my son?
Im a single mom, in the past when I have needed to go into the hospital, my mother always cared for my son. She has passed. Is there legal paperwork that I should have drawn up to assign someone to care for my son should I have to go into the hospital again? I have family members who are trying to use a hospital stay as a excuse to take my son away from me but I want to protect my rights before there is a problem. I have a mental health issue that requires periodical hospital stays.

You can probably talk to a lawyer about this for free, as part of an initial consultation. A social worker would probably have good advice, but if you aren't involved with social services, I'm not going to suggest it, because it could open a can of worms.
