What is the Yahoo Appeals Board?

How do you go to the Yahoo Appeals Board. I have appealed against a deleted answer and received the following:

Not sure what you are getting at, but it may be a question of liquidity. The price is usually based on a minimum order size (MMs) or the size on the order book. If your order is outside the size quoted by MMs then your trade price MAY be different. Let's say the price is $48-$50 in 1000 and you have an order to buy 10000: the price may be higher than $50."

Violation Reason: Spam

Go to the Yahoo! Answers Appeals Board:

How can this be spam? Answered the question and then a link to my investment website for an article about Level2 prices:

http://www.shareworld.co.uk/index.php/news/35/230/...

This is allowed by Yahoo: "it's OK to accompany a good, on-topic answer with a link to your website, blog, or email to offer more information"

The Y! Answers Appeals Board is a relic of the past. Years ago when you received a violation there was a board where you could appeal violations (it was interesting to read!)

That's been replaced long ago and it seems that the sentence in the automated message has never been removed from the violation notice you receive when staff are the ones removing your content (it's not present in the violation notice that indicates that someone from the community has reported your content).

Regarding the violation, as it's a staff one, they have clearly indicated that it is deemed as spam. Yes you are allowed to quote a link that supports your answer when you have quoted from it for instance or for additional relevant information. The problem arises when you are actively promoting your site for personal gain on Y!A.

"However when it is directly related to the answer you’re giving, sometimes it is helpful to include personal links or an email address in the answer" http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN... - Note the "sometimes"

Also from the same page " If you host sponsored ads on your site, be careful about posting links to your site in every answer or you risk crossing over into spam territory, which is not allowed." which is the case in your situation.

The only link you use is the your own website. By choosing questions which allow you to place the link and doing so then you are falling foul of the rule of spamming Y!A. It's ok to place the link on your Activity page. It's not ok to be answering Y!A in order to promote your own website which is for personal gain

stunning. so, no longer merely can they oppress their consumers by using ridiculous standards, actual manipulated regulations (for his or her sake), and outrageous censoring..... yet, now, we don't even have the liberty to charm it. ugh. y/a is rather pathetic, isn't it? it fairly is a dictatorship.... despite the fact that they do to the coverage, it can not worsen.

Someone reported you. Simply "thumbs down" click by two people and someone "reporting you" will get it deleted.
