Are you familiar with submission format for a short story or essay?

At the top of the page you'd put your real name and address, email, phone on the left, and flush at the right margin, you put the word count rounded to the closest hundred, the rights being offered (often "First North American Serial Rights"), and whether it's a disposable copy.

Then about a third of the way down you put the title, in caps, centered, then a blank line, then the word by, another blank line, and then, ta-daaa, your pen name.

At the top of all the pages except page one, you put a header with your pen name last name, your real last name in parentheses, a one-word version of your title, and the page number: Twain (Clemens), FINN, 76.
