Help with French Braiding?

Okay, so i'm wanting to try cornrows for my bangs. But, in order to do that, I need to know how to French Braid. The kind where you add hair as you go. I've watched every video on YouTube, and can't figure it out. My hair is VERY long. I have no layers, or baby hairs, or anything. So, can someone find a very simple, idiot proof video for me somewhere, or explain it to me?? I get frustrated quick, so the video has to be so simple a 4 year old could understand it. xD
